Time to think Climate Futures

At a time of increasing fuel prices and environmental catastrophes, upd8 welcomes Climate Futures, an exciting new collection of curriculum resources for students aged 10-14.

Climate Futures activities aim to unravel the complexities of the issues around climate and the environment, and make students want to explore them further - and make a difference. They set up dilemmas for to discuss and challenge students to find proactive solutions. They also strengthen personal capability skills like critical thinking, communication, self-belief, creativity and teamwork.

The 5 activities each relate to an activity that contributes to climate change: food, waste, energy and transport. Climate Futures has been developed for upd8 by the Centre for Science Education with funding from the Comino Foundation.
